All stars fell 0-3 to the Lutheran League. The Jr. All Stars lost 1-2, although the record appear to show that they ended in a tie in the final game.

Griffith 1 Wins 2016 Tournament

It has come to my attention that I never posted the 2016 Tournament results. Griffith 1 won the tournament. Ridge 1 was the runner-up.

Lansing Wins 2015-2016 Regular Season

Lansing 1st Church PCA has won the 2015-2016 regular season championgship, with a record of 36-18. This years runner-up was Griffith 2, by winning the tie-breaker 6-3 over Ridge 1. Their records were 31-23.

In Memory of George Cook

George Cook, a friend to many, and a long-time member of Ridge Church who was active in the Chancel Choir, Missions, Winning at Life breakfasts, and faithfully attended Men's Bible Study each week, died on October 20th.

A Service of Worship and Celebration in memory of George will be held at Ridge Church this Friday, October 23rd at 11 a.m., with a meal to follow. Friends may visit with George's family between 9:30 a.m. and the beginning of the service.

GEORGE MORLEY COOK George Morley Cook, age 79, went to meet Jesus on October 20, 2015, surrounded by his loving family at Rush Hospital in Chicago. He was born in Ottawa, Canada on February 7, 1936. George is survived by his wife Suzanne Cook nee Wilhelm of 39 years; daughters: Cindy (Allen) Coup of Mt. Carmel, TN, Tracey (Richard) Gagnon of Hamilton, ON, Pam (Greg) Simms of Valparaiso, IN, Jane (Jay) Minnick of Liberty, MO, and Susan (Scot) Bryce of Munster, IN; grandchildren: Jocelyne (Trevor) Gagnon, Tim (Amanda) Coup, Jeremy Gagnon, Melanie (Ben) Belsheim, Katie (Ben) Purnell, Alexandra (Jason) McCracken, Greg Simms Jr., Stephen Simms, Clayton Minnick, Addison Bryce, Mikayla Minnick, and Erin Bryce: great-grandchildren: Wyatt and Finnley Belsheim; brother Arthur (Jessie) Cook of Gatineau, QC. George was predeceased by his son Randall Cook; his daughter Cynthia Jill Michel; his parents Gordon and Rebecca Cook and his brother William (late Marjorie) Cook. George retired from TWA/ American Airlines after 35 years. He was active with Ridge United Methodist Church in Munster, IN. He enjoyed a good game of dart ball. George worked part time with his wife Suzanne at Theater at the Center and also volunteered at Hartsfield Village. George and Suzanne also did missionary work in Haiti and Jamaica for 16 years. George was a kind, loving, generous friend, husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him. LARRY TEMPLE CEDAR LAKE, IN Larry Temple, age 75, late of Cedar Lake formerly of Highland, passed away July 6, 2015. Beloved husband of Betty for 54 years. Loving father of Michael Temple, Steven (Claudia) Temple, James Temple, Laura (Patti) Wesley, and Amy (Rob) Temple-Azar. Dearest grandfather of Kylie (Alex), Anasteja, Corey, Adam, Shaela, Katee, Reilly, Grace, Cooper, Griffin, Cecilia, and Layla. Dear brother of Charles (Thelma) Temple. Brother-in-law of Clarence (Sally) Davis. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Larry was a retired employee of Arcelor Mittal. He was a longtime active member of Ridge United Methodist Church and an avid golfer. WILLIAM HENRY "BILL" WINSTON, SR. HAMMOND, IN William Henry "Bill" Winston Sr., age 87 of Hammond, was called to heaven Tuesday, June 16, 2015. He was born November 9th, 1927. Bill is survived by his loving, best friend, soul mate and wife of 42 years, Glenida Winston. Together they shared a blended family of eight children: Pamela, Sherry, William Jr. (Geri), Paula (Ernie), Donald (Darcy), Donna, and Sandra. Giving them 18 grandchildren: Keith B., Troy, Tamara, Tracy, Sean, Keith W., Allison, Sasha, Julie, Stephanie,Joshua, Craig, Jacob, James, Shane, Trisha, and Dylan. Giving "Grandpa" and "Grandma" an additional 20 great grandchildren: Anthony, Zachary, Bryanna, Kylee, Stephen, Charles, Morgan, Christopher, Heidi, Jack, Bryce, Brenna, Aiden, Jason, Jonathan, Brodie, Colton, Emily, Brooke, andGrace with more still to come. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Guy and Helen Winston, his three siblings, Doris, Gene and Jack, son, Robert Jr. and granddaughter, Jaime. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. 45th Avenue, Griffith with Elder Russell Smiddy officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, in Schererville, IN. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home. Bill served in the Navy and is a WWII and Korean War veteran. After he would go on to work at Amoco Research. He was a proud member of Cline Garden's Christian Church. He loved playing for his church's dart ball team. Bill loved bowling and was very proud that he bowled in the same league at Plaza Lanes for 50 years. But he loved his family, his church and his country more than anything. Bill would introduce himself to strangers as "Grandpa" and show them his list of eight children and 37 grand and great grandchildren. Griffith 1 Wins Regular Season Title

Griffith 1 has clinched first place for the 2014-2015 season. Griffith 2 will finish second. Trinity is third, Ridge 2 fourth, Lansing fifth. Sixth and seventh will be determined by make-up games tonight. Hessville finished eighth.

There was a three way tie for third that will not be impacted by any make-up games that are being played tonight. The standings are as follows:

Trinity won the tie breakers against both Ridge 2 and Lansing. Ridge 2 won the tie breaker against Lansing.
